Alright, this either could be a problem with the Jake brakes or a EGR solenoid/wiring problem. A problem in the EGR system can definatly cause power loss under a load. Your truck being a 2002, check to see if you have an EGR valve. It would be located under the turbo near the block bolted onto the EGR cooler.Replacing a bull gear on a Detroit Series 60.
