It started on our old one and when we bought a newer significantly nice one we had the same…You can absolutely back up a Bluray to your hard disk and leave the encryption in place. The problem is, such a backup will be inaccessible to you unless you break the encryption. I don't understand how an encryptiontechnique could prevent you from simply copying the data as-is into anISO and then just treat it like a "regular" blu-ray disc?

My 67 year old eyes can't really appreciate the difference between HD & UHD 😏 [I do appreciate SD/HD difference, but upscaling by my player helps].This is when they changed the encoding settings, and started using higher bit-rates. Night of the Living Dead looks very good. Grain consistency is light and superb. There is one scene where grain consistency falls apart slightly. The scene contained grain that I would call, "grain crawl". The grain loses its detail and crawls around the screen ...Even a regular blu-ray will look better than 4K streaming. End of the day its all just data being processed and displayed on your TV. Streaming and physical media can pass the same data. Only difference is streaming requires a large portion of bandwidth for the data to reach you, which can hit issues along the way.Angels in the Outfield, Paycheck, The Village, Ocean's 11 (with George Clooney) Phone Booth, Liar Liar, The Death of Stalin, Hail! Caesar, Titan AE, a multitude of Disney animated features. Plenty of mainstream or high-budget affairs with big actors that haven't even gotten blu rays, let alone 4k releases.
