Was on the lake yesterday and coming up on plain running perfect it just bogged to a stop and continued to idle but I could hear a miss in the engine. It advances the timing a bit at 5000 rpm, then retards it at 5500 rpm, causing the torque curve to effectively hit the wall. It's enough of a source of trouble and not enough of a benefit for Mercury to stock them for replacement.
