Lucky for me the dealer cut me a deal and I got the 716G2 instead of the 716i. I probably would have enjoyed the 716i just as much, but this gave me a reason to try a short stroke piston rifle. Unlike Sig’s previous forays into the AR-10 sphere, the 716i is direct impingement—expected at this price point.
