So I thought I could just connect my TV to the computer with an HDMI cable to update the video card as a workaround. But the TV doesn't get any signal from the computer either, when I plug the HDMI cable into it and into the TV. So now I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the computer, not the monitor, since the TV doesn't work either.
