I would really not recommend him for a player new to Gloomhaven. Being a low health melee character, he requires a good understanding of the enemy AI and the initiative system, to avoid getting any attacks coming his way. The scoundrel fulfills the same role, while being a lot more forgiving. I'd recommend the Brute, Scoundrel and Tinkerer.1- Starting quests require you to fight in crypts, to defeat human, Inox and undead opponents, or to become exhausted. 2-Middle quests require you to play sidequests, explore various regions and defeat Vermlings, lurkers or drakes, and can include hording loads of items. 3- There are no good quests for late game.
