Mar 05, 2015 #1. Hey guys. I just acquired in trade a used Ruger Air Hawk Elite. The stock was in rough shape so I refinished it. The rifle is missing the safety selecter and it will not cock. What part/s do I need to order for replacement.. without tearing the thing open? Thanks much in advance. 1200 Ft per second packs some punch! Especially with a 10.5 grain pellet. If your gun suddenly got a LOT easier to cock I'd suspect the gas spring before I'd suspect the piston seal.
