You can check your alternator by checking the voltage at the back of the alternator where the big wire bolts on. You should have 14+ volts at the alternator. A couple of thoughts on this. If you screw up something with the wheel speed sensors you cause all 3 functions of the ABS system to fail. So if you don't see 3 service messages the problem isn't caused by a wheel speed sensor. The recall with the comb prevented fretting of the contacts in the steering sensor connector.Check all your fuses if you had a system failure it could have blown a fuse.
