I think the battery died for one of my keys because I'm not able to open or lock doors.It works now. However he uses a different programming procedure than what was provided. Here is what he did. 1) put key into ignition and turn to position 1. 2) hold lock button for 5 seconds. 3) hold unlock button for 5 seconds. 4) hold both lock and unlock for 5 seconds. repeat steps above in position 2.Dec 1, 2006 · 561 posts · Joined 2004. #8 · May 20, 2008. To unlock the trunk manually: while inserting the key push the lock in and turn it to the left about 1/4 turn. Key needs to remain in the lock. Try this a few times, it should release. It may also release easier if your car is unlocked... the doors that is.
