We are staying in Port Aransas and use this ferry multiple times a week. To get from the island to the mainland (Aransas Pass) the ferry takes an hour off of the trip. It usually takes about 15 minutes including the wait. There are up to 6 ferry boats depending on the line. I would advise to plan your route to the ferry line because it backs up through the intersection at times.
