Not a lot of info but my copy of "The Ithaca Gun Company" indicates that the 12g 51's were introduced in 1970, 20g's came along in 1973. Production of them suspended in 1987. I always liked the look of the 51 trap guns and the way they fit me but never got a chance to shoot one.
