Each summer, the Department of Nursing provides senior-level nursing students with ten weeks of full-time employment so they can gain clinical experience through the Clinical Assistants Program. Trainees have the opportunity to partner with experienced nurses from our inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative divisions.In partnership with the K-State’s College of Health and Human Sciences, this unique dual degree program will give students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN) from the College of Health Professions at Wichita State University.
