If I were you, I'd take out the 4 points from blight phoenix, and the 5 points from suspension and put them in ward and sweet release. Personally, I'm not a fan of helios and I think backdraft is a super out of place skill for Maya, but to each their own. You should watch Derch's breakdown on Maya's skills.
It's not hard to solo the Dragons as Axton, double turrets with shield, magic missile, bee shield, flaker, ahab, DPUH, Grog nozzle and an Explosive relic. Force Heliath to land and mow him down with the flakker and ahab combo, then jump around and take them one at a time. From her personality (way more playful/funny), to her ability to take many of the bosses/minibosses out of the fight (so much fun to do)...she is a blast.

I try to stay away from the skills that cause stuff around you to happen like Blight Phoenix because I tend to always kill the last enemy and stuff like that triggers a barrel and kills me with no one near for FFYL. I use a Scorn build most, but go SS for speed runs. SS downsides are pretty badly overblown, most likely because people frequently pair it with a Legendary Binder. The extra Suspension boost makes it more painful when the orb gets weird.
