The KS47 Gen 2 has most if not all of the issues fixed that are in the Gen 1. Specifically the magazine wobble or it getting pushed up due to not having the over insertion tabs. If you already have an AK with AK mags or plan to, the KS47 Gen 2 would be a good choice since you wont need to get any new mags.

In order to make a standard upper work, you would need to add material to it. This can be done be welding aluminum to a standard upper, and then machining it for KS47 specs. It is definitely doable, but it would take the right tools, right knowledge, and the time and desire to do it.The KS47 is supposed to work with all AK mags. I’ve had to use my dremmel to make the gen 3s work so if you really want gen 3s, that’s what you’d have to do. I found that the poly Bulgarian mags w/ steel tab worked perfectly without mod.
