Jra m14.

May 5, 2019 · I bought from JRA and my M14 was defective. I called Classic who then put me in touch is Bula Defense. Bula took care of fixing my M14 and they sent me a shipping label so other than waiting a few weeks for the round trip I got a working M14 now. If Bula sells complete M14 rifles now I would go with Bula instead of JRA.

That said, an AR180 is on the banned list but an AR180B is legal.... same would apply to anything different than M14 (including “M14F”). Quote. I did not know this until I was talking to some interested passers-by at SHOT and I said they were hammer forged.Yes it's the James River Armory..apparently they have the "rights" to the "rock-ola" name. ... No the unserviceable M1 oprod was shortened to M14 length then the M14 oprod guide was sleeved to accept the thinner M1 rod. End of rod was capped with a bolt welded in and ground to fit. Use the oprod spring from a "tanker" garand and thats it.

I bought the rifle from SARCO for $900.00; fully assembled and head spaced. This is a cast receiver made by James River and looks to be cleanly milled and fits the stock tightly. The two downsides to M14F are the price and the weight. It currently lists for $2,195.00 on JRA’s website. The M14 and its clones have always been expensive to manufacture due to the intricate machining required on the receiver and several other parts. The M14F is made completely in America, which adds to the cost over some competitors.

So for about $250-$300 more (or so) compared to the Springfield Scout Squad with the walnut stock, one can purchase a rifle with forged compared to cast components (if that is important to one) and can "buy local."
