My wife and I both hunt with the 7mm-08, we have identical Rem 700 SPS Buckmasters with 24" barrels. Both shoot sub half MOA with the 139gr SST and with the 120gr Balliatic Tip. - 41.0gr of IMR-4064 with the 139gr SST, WLR primers. Well, I tried out my 708 yesterday, not with A-MAXs, but with 150grBT on top of 39.5grs. Varget, CCI BR primers, Nickel brass, very good group of .402 for 5 shots, I'm very happy with the combo. If somewhere between 44 to 46 grains doesn't shoot straight something is wrong with the rifle. It should give right around 2800 fps from a 22" barrel. Do start lower, though. The Sierra manual tops out at 43.7 grains, Nosler at 44.5, Speer at 45 and Hornady at just over 46.
