I took it in for the valve adjustment, and I was informed that it had a bad coil pack and 1 cylinder was misfiring and this was the cause of the stall, not the valves being out of whack. There was also a leaking power steering hose and my battery died while in the shop, but I'm pretty sure those are unrelated.Oct 3, 2015 · 110,000 miles and I have noticed that the valves are a little noisy until the it warms up. I am assuming that it is due for adjustment. Feedback apprecitated. I would have them checked based on mileage alone. A tight (quiet) valve can do a ton more damage than a loose noisy one.

These prices are insane…don’t get me wrong there is some labor involved but $700+ to pull the fairly easily accessible valve covers is crazy. Figure ~4hrs tops to do this if you’re taking your time. I could probably do it in two hours as I’ve done a couple Honda valve jobs. Honda recommends the valves being adjusted every 100-105k. If a valve gets tight you are going to burn it (basically a hole will form) and cause some expensive repairs to remove the cylinder head and install new valve(s).
