As someone who recently discovered, played, and beat Hellpoint: It's actually a really great game marred by a few things that probably shouldn't prevent you from playing it if it sounds like it's your cup of tea. It's jankier than your more polished Dark Souls games, but it's a surprisingly great experience for the most part.
