Between Swords Bard and Fighter, you get the 2 fighting styles that make hand crossbows work best (Archery/Two Weapon Fighting). Ranger also works really well but Blade Flourishes give you an extra two attacks on your nova turn, and another two once you take a second level of Fighter.Once you reach level 6, you can add sleet storm to your repertoire of control spells.
