Measure resistance from ECM OEM connector(its the one with 50 wires, not 60 wires) to the level sensor connector. Should be 0.2 ohms since it's a direct line. Another test is to check continuity from the coolant circuits to all other pins in the OEM harness.As long as there is no wire issue, the plug will see you have coolant. Leave the ground cavity empty. All it does is provide ground. Ther other 2 are power and signal. If the sensor is bad, it grounds to the ground wire and pulls the voltage from the power wire which trips the light. You just need to bypass the other 2.
