Just wondering if its really that difficult to rebuild an outboard? I have a mid '80s 150 Johnson and if needed I am thinking about buy a Clymers manual and a rebuild kit and giving it a try. I won't know if it is needed until I do a compression check this weekend, but last year the fuel comsumption was horrible and it might be time.
