Anything can do normal, even gimp builds. My two suggestions to learn the quests: Paladin - very self sufficient, heals, 2 hander and just mow everything down. Rogue or some sort of Rogue multi - This will help you learn where the traps are. Maybe best for a 2nd life playthru, but you'd do fine on normal on first life.Strimtom's is a solid first-life Rgr20 build from first-hand experience. (slightly modified mine to be fire/ice rather than just acid, but the major points are the same.) Haven't taken him up to 30. Never needed the melee option.
