I reloaded, added Wyll to my party, talked to him at camp, and had him with me to kill PNC. Oath remained intact. That's a weird way to break your oath or not.

The oath only breaks if the paladin gets a killing blow. However if you allow the NPC to follow you thus turning all goblins hostile to your presence, you will still break your oath when slaying the goblins unless you let the NPC get the killing blow because the Goblins are just acting in their own good faith towards a escaped prisoner.
