The strange thing is the noise seems to drop out as the vehicle is decelerating, right around 700 RPMs, which seems to coincide with the vehicle down shifting into first gear. It then starts again as the vehicle is accelerating and lasts until decel. The noise is not present when the vehicle is idling at rest.
